FP McCann’s Toomebridge manufacturing facility (formerly Macrete Ireland) was founded in 1979 by the Hogg family and acquired by FP McCann in 2024. With over 45 years of precast concrete expertise, the facility has built an exceptional reputation for quality, innovation and technical excellence across the UK and Ireland.

Operating across a 45-acre site with a workforce of over 130 people, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art batching plants, a concrete testing laboratory, and advanced mould and casting workshops, enabling it to fulfil large-scale, technically complex orders with confidence.

The depot offers a wide range of products, including precast solutions for sea defence, civil engineering, railway infrastructure, architectural projects, sports stadia, and the water and utilities sector. With products being delivered throughout the UK and Ireland, our Toomebridge Depot now complements the offering at our 15 other manufacturing facilities.

The Toomebridge facility holds accreditations to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), alongside BES 6001 certification for the Responsible Sourcing of Construction Products. The depot is also registered with Constructionline and has completed the Building Safety Act Assessment, demonstrating compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and providing assurance to main contractors and public sector clients across the supply chain.

Sustainability is central to operations at Toomebridge. The facility generates approximately 50% of its electricity requirements through an on-site 250kW wind turbine and 50kW solar PV array. Water used in the manufacture of concrete products is harvested rainwater or sourced from an on-site borehole, and waste wood is repurposed through a heat-recovery system, significantly reducing the environmental footprint of every manufactured product.

Toomebridge is the only FP McCann facility to manufacture precast concrete bridge solutions, including an extensive range of bridge beams. Furthermore, all designs are completed to BIM Level 2 in accordance with BS EN ISO 19650-2:2018, ensuring seamless information management and collaboration during the delivery phase of assets.

This commitment to digital engineering provides our clients with enhanced precision, efficiency, and lifecycle data management. Previous infrastructure projects have been completed for key industry names, including Heathrow Airport, Network Rail, Galliford Try, and HS2.

The depot has an extensive and prestigious track record in stadia construction, having supplied precast components for the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Oval Cricket Ground, Fulham FC’s Craven Cottage, and Brentford FC’s Community Stadium. More recently, the depot completed the manufacture and installation of precast terrace components for the New North Stand at Brandywell Stadium, home of Derry City Football Club.
