FP McCann have designed, manufactured and installed precast terrace components for the New North Stand at Brandywell Stadium.
The new stand has a 2900 spectator capacity, and as a result of FP McCann’s co-ordination with the clients specialist railing manufacturer, the stand can accommodate both seated and standing spectator modes.
We previously delivered the Mark Farren Stand at Brandywell Stadium back in 2017, so have continued our relationship with the client on the latest phase of the development.
The concrete mix design on the project incorporates a high cement substitute content, as part of our commitment to producing sustainable concrete of the highest quality.
The main contractor on this project was McKelvey Construction on behalf of Derry City and Strabane District Council. Darren McKelvey, Director at McKelvey Construction said: “We have worked alongside FP McCann in the past and we were more than happy to continue to work with them this time around. The finished results are remarkable. It is great to see the North Stand complete.”
FP McCann’s precast concrete stadium terraces are designed for safe and fast erection. Our Precast Stadium System units provide a versatile economic system for varying viewing standards, imposed loading and seating arrangements.
FP McCann completed all work in line with the project programme deadlines.
