FP McCann Supplies Products for New Pitch Development in Swatragh

FP McCann Bradley’s Quarry in Kilrea has provided stone and Ready Mix Concrete to Michael Davitt’s GAC in Swatragh for development of the existing pitch and surrounding areas.
Work on the new state-of-the-art sand-based grass pitch was undertaken by Curran Contracts Ltd. with volunteers also involved in bringing the project forward. As well as the new pitch, the club has also installed street light columns for pedestrian safety when walking around the pitch, additional drainage to collect surface water around the perimeter and a new spectator area.
FP McCann has supplied 4400 tonne of stone for the drainage works on the new pitch and to make up levels for pathways and associated works, as well as supplying 300m³ ready mix concrete for the pathways and the spectator stand. Various precast products, including precast kerbs, dwarf walls and manhole rings were also supplied.

Initial works began in autumn 2020 and the project was completed in April 2022.
