FP McCann Supplies Products to a Self-Build Project a Stone’s Throw from Home

FP McCann has supplied a variety of products for a self-build house project based in Gulladuff, a short distance from our Northern Ireland Head Office in Knockloughrim, Magherafelt.
The self-build project was undertaken by Darren and Tia, who have been documenting the progress of their home on their Instagram account (@selfbuild_Lavey) since May 2020, gaining almost 10,000 followers.
FP McCann’s products have been utilised throughout the build. Quarry stone from our Knockloughrim Quarry was used for making lanes and hardstandings, with Ready Mix Concrete being supplied for the foundations and sub-floors of the property.
Concrete blocks and building mortar were used for footings and walls, with FP McCann’s Easi-Flow Liquid Floor Screed supplied for the internal floors.
Externally, both standard and dwarf kerbs were used along the driveway, with monochrome exposed aggregate concrete used to add finishing touches to the outside steps and the patio area.
Darren works in the construction industry and the couple have been heavily involved in the build throughout the process, carrying out a lot of the work themselves, including the laying of concrete in the patio area. Darren and Tia began building their four-bedroom dream home, which also includes a playroom and study, in July 2019 and moved in 15 months later in October 2020.
