Revisited: FP McCann Successful Completion of Hillsborough Forest Development Project
Hillsborough Forest development project included upgrading the existing car park through installation of drainage system drains into a storm water attenuation tank with a hydrobrake vortex flow control device outfall.
This was then followed by installation of permeable Tegula paving parking bays with hot rolled asphalt road and landscaping. New tables and seating was installed between the car park and the lake.
The path network within the path was upgraded with water bound gravel path and path extensions to new viewing platforms with seating. Various types of signage was also installed throughout the path network.
Two footbridges were replaced with two new footbridges, one at the weir and a Corten bridge at the top of the lake. Another fun feature was the new rope bridge out past the fort.
