Client: Mid Ulster District Council

The Public Realm scheme provided environmental improvement works to Magherafelt main thoroughfares which included: Broad Street, Market Street and parts of Rainey Street, Queens Street, Church Street & Union Road. The scheme’s objective was that regeneration would enhance the area for events, promote footfall/attract tourists and in turn boost trade/economy in the town.

The works in the town centre included:

• Upgrading pedestrian areas and pavements with high-quality materials
• Improved street and feature lighting provision
• New drainage

• New street furniture
• Signage  
• Tree planting
