The rock stone masonry, based in Glenarm, has used FP McCann’s ennis stone to renovate the historic, gothic gatehouse on the grounds of the eighteenth century Hillsborough Castle, situated in County Down, Northern Ireland.
Extracted from FP McCann’s Clarke’s Quarry in Lisnaskea, Ennis Stone is a unique, blue-grey limestone that offers timeless elegance and a consistent appearance and structure. It can be randomly picked or guillotined and supplied in bulk bags.
In total, FP McCann’s Quarry supplied 48 one tonne bags of Ennis Stone building stone to the contractor for this project.
Speaking on behalf of the Rock Stone Masonry, owner Nathan Morrow said, “The quality of product and level of service from FP McCann was super throughout this project. Delivering the building stone product as we needed meant we didn’t need to worry about storage or having large amounts of product on-site at any one time”.
