FP McCann Concrete Exposed Aggregate Glenshane

FP McCann has supplied Concrete Exposed to DMC Decorative Concrete for the renovation of a residential property on the Glenshane Road

A wall separating the house from the garden was removed and part of the lawn was excavated, giving way to large open patio space. A sweeping pathway was created around the garden, leading to an idyllic seated area.

For this project, an existing tree stump seat was incorporated into the final design, with the exposed aggregate surface following the natural base of the trunk – something that would not have been possible with traditional paving.

Exposed aggregate has the advantage of having the strength and durability of ready mix concrete, in an aesthetically pleasing finish. It also has minimal joints, meaning no moss or weeds, as well as added grip in frosty or wet weather.

Danny McCusker, owner of DMC Decorative Concrete said: “We have worked with FP McCann’s Concrete Exposed on several projects – it is a practical, durable surfacing solution. It looks well in this yard and the versatility of the material allowed us to work with existing features in the garden.”
