FP McCann Supplies Full Package of Products for New Household Recycling Centre in Carrickfergus

CivCo Civil Engineering & Construction has utilised FP McCann’s wide range of products as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for materials in the build of a new waste recycling facility in Carrickfergus for Mid & East Antrim Borough Council.
The new £2.5 Million Sullatober Household Recycling Centre, on Marshallstown Road, Carrickfergus, will cater for 40,000 residents and will help divert 20,000 tonne of waste from landfill each year. The development will result in more efficient waste compaction and haulage, with new material streams for recycling and a reduction in carbon emissions.
FP McCann are supplying approximately 3000m³ of Ready Mix Concrete for a yard, shuttered walls and founds; 10,000 tonne of stone to make up levels for the yard and associated roadways, as well as concrete blocks and kerbs for the project, which is expected to be completed in spring 2022.
