Description: FP McCann have been successful in being appointed to the Translink ‘FW073 Civil Engineering Contractors Framework’ assist Translink’s Infrastructure and Property Division in its programme of maintenance and capital projects.
An overview of the type of Civil Engineering works that may be undertaken using the Framework is as follows;
- Bridges (under/over line, viaducts, footbridges)
- Culverts
- Tunnels
- Earthworks and Retaining Structures
- Rock Cuttings (including cliffs)
- Sea and River Defences
- Platforms
- Gantries
- Miscellaneous Structures e.g. water towers
- Drainage systems
- Permanent Way (e.g. ballasted track, slab track, switches and crossings, rail welding, track electrification)
- Piling / Specialist foundations
- Steelwork
- Vegetation removal
- Handrails & Walkways
- Supplier designed solutions – including temporary works
- Railway support systems – Lighting columns, train wash refuelling etc
- Civil works to support Signalling & Telecoms systems (e.g., cable duct routes, bases)
In addition to completing Civil Engineering projects, other forms of work or professional services may be carried out through this framework such as;
- Surveys,
- Investigatory works,
- Early Supplier Involvement (ECI) during the development stage on projects.
