The Bann Bridge Crossing Hut is located on the centre span of the Bann River Railway Bridge (the only Railway Bascule Bridge in Northern Ireland, and a listed industrial heritage site) on NI Railways Belfast to Derry/Londonderry Line.  The Crossing Hut was originally used by a Bridge Operator to raise and lower the Bascule section of the bridge to allow ships and other vessels to pass into and out of Coleraine Harbour.  This is now controlled remotely from the Coleraine Railway Signal Cabin.
