FP McCann have been appointed as the Main Contractor regarding North West Greenway Network, Route 2 Bay Road.

Title: North West Greenway Network, Route 2 Bay Road

Location: The site is located adjacent the River Foyle at Pennyburn Inlet.

Client: Derry City & Strabane District Council

The contract is for the design and build of a single clear span bridge, circa 63m long with an effective pedestrian / cycle width of 3m. The works also include the design and build of abutments, retention structures and access ramps which will link the existing Quay Trail to the proposed greenway running along Bay Road.

The project also includes approximately 650m of 3m wide shared pedestrian and cyclist Greenway Path which will be constructed along side Bay Road and the Banks of the River Foyle, as far as Bay Road Park. The proposed greenway will tie into the existing path network in the Bay Road Park.
