FP McCann has been appointed as the Principal Contractor regarding Moylinn Footbridge Replacement.

Title:                   Moylinn Footbridge Replacement

Location:           A3 Lake Road, Craigavon, County Armagh, between Tullygally Roundabout and Lakes Roundabout

Client:                The Department for Infrastructure NI

Description:      The Moylinn East Footbridge was demolished in March 2023 as it had become uneconomically viable to repair. The original structure provided pedestrian access over the Lake Road A3 dual carriageway.

This new scheme will involve contractor design and construction of a new single span, shared use pedestrian and cycle bridge superstructure and reinforced concrete abutment substructure elements.

The works will also include:

  • Bridge deck surfacing.
  • Bridge superstructure and sub-structure drainage.
  • Tie ins and surfacing to existing approaches.
  • Landscaping works.
  • Management of temporary pedestrian/traffic arrangements.
  • Public liaison.
  • Diversions and renewals of Statutory Undertakers apparatus where necessary.
  • Environmental measures.
  • Design of above ancillary works.
