FP McCann has been appointed as the Main Contractor for Package 1.3A (Bridges), Package 2 (Minor Culverts), & Package 3A (Structures), for the Translink Structures Examination & Assessment Programme
Title: Structures Examination & Assessment Phase 2B (StrExam) Programme Contracts
Location: Across the Translink Network
The 3No contracts have been awarded to FP McCann within the Translink Structures Examination and Assessment Phase 2B (StrExam) programme. The contracts consist of the following works:
Package 1.3A (Bridges) – Comprises of the Contractor access support for 148no. bridges and culverts ranked 150+ in priority, to be examined and assessed. The structures within Package 1.3A are network wide and require the establishment of various access types to facilitate ‘tactile’ examinations, such as rope access, mobile scaffold and mobile access platforms. Occasional drilling and coring into structures, de-vegetation and clearing of culverts is also required to inform and assist these investigations.
Package 2 (Minor Culverts) – The works include access contractor support and provision of track access protection staff for the detailed structural examination of culvert structures across the NIR network. The works address the detailed examination and where required structural examination of culvert structures across the network comprising of detailed examinations, structural assessments and scour assessments of culverts.
Package 3 (Structures) – Involves the delivery of Detailed Examinations of 97 no. assets: 67 no. Sea Defences, 1 no. Tunnels, 13 no. Platform Canopies, 6no. Elevated Structures, 7no. Ancillary Structures and 3no. Signal Structures. The structures within Package 3A are network wide and involve establishment of various types of access to facilitate ‘tactile’ examination such as: rope access, mobile scaffold and mobile access platforms and coastal/marine access. Occasional drilling and coring into structures, de-vegetation and clearing of culverts is also required to inform and assist these investigations.
