FP McCann Achieves Dual Building Safety Act (BSA) Assessments from Constructionline

FP McCann, the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of precast concrete solutions, is proud to announce the successful completion of both the Standard Construction and Higher-Risk Buildings Building Safety Act (BSA) Assessments through Constructionline.

This significant milestone, achieved on 14 April 2026, demonstrates our unwavering commitment to building safety, regulatory compliance, and delivering the highest standards of competence across all our construction projects.

Demonstrating Competence Under the Building Safety Act

The Building Safety Act 2022 ushered in a new era of accountability and safety in the UK construction industry. A core requirement of the legislation is that everyone in the supply chain must demonstrate competence and compliance.

To help buyers and principal contractors identify trusted project partners, Constructionline introduced its BSA Assessments. These rigorous evaluations ensure that suppliers are aligned with stringent BSA standards, such as BS 8670, and possess the necessary skills, knowledge, experience, and behaviours to operate safely and effectively.

FP McCann has completed both available assessments:

• Standard Construction BSA Assessment: This confirms our compliance with BSA standards for general construction projects.
• Higher-Risk Buildings BSA Assessment: This critical certification verifies our competence to work on higher-risk projects. Under the BSA, a higher-risk building is defined as a structure with a minimum of seven storeys or a height of at least 18 metres that is either a hospital or a care facility, or that contains a minimum of two residential units.
