Andersonstown Road – Environmental Improvement Scheme
Client: Department of Social Development
The project aimed to regenerate the area by improving road frontage, accommodate desire lines to attract trade & maximise footfall. The scheme was on an arterial route for commuter traffic to Belfast City Centre.
Works included:
- Site clearance of existing street furniture
- Resurfacing with natural stone Irish Blue limestone paving and granite kerbs
- Carriageway and car park resurfacing and lining
- Utilities – Under-grounding overhead services, diversion and protection of existing etc.
- Feature lighting included – feature stainless steel lighting tubes and lighting columns
