The works comprised of widening both sides of an existing 7.3m carriageway to over 12m wide over a length of 1.8km. This was to provide overtaking opportunities on the uphill Maguiresbridge bound direction.

Works included:

• Site clearance including avian survey before removing trees
• Fencing including gates
• Road restraint systems
• Drainage
• Kerbing
• Surfacing

• Traffic signs including Passive Support Lattice Posts
• Road marking
• High Friction Surfacing
• Landscaping including quickthorn hedging
• Accommodation works including cattle holding pens, bitmac entrances etc.
