FP McCann operates an environmental policy across its entire business.

To undertake its operations as a quarry, supplier of aggregates, producer of coated stone, ready mix concrete and precast concrete products in a manner that is least detrimental to the environment both inside and outside the premises and to comply with the relevant legislation, codes of practice and guidance notes.

As an organisation, FP McCann are committed to continually improving and reducing pollution and waste, whilst promoting recovery and recycling, as opposed to disposal. We strive to contribute positively to both the economy and the environment, supplying the highest quality and most sustainable materials whilst continually innovating to provide the most carbon efficient alternatives.  This is very true within the different business disciplines.  Our concretes and asphalts offer ranges that replace ingredients with recyclable materials offering more carbon efficient alternatives, whilst ensuring the end product is quality confirmative.

We maintain an environmental management system, which sets our environmental targets for all of our relevant activities. It is our aim to support these targets by maintaining third party corroboration of the success of our environmental management system in the form of certification to ISO 14001.

Best Available Techniques (BAT) will be employed where construction works can affect the environment. These decisions are based on professional advice and close liaison with relevant authorities and agencies to minimise the impact on the environment.

FP McCann’s environmental policy is communicated to all staff, copies of which are available to the public upon request.
