FP McCann Delivers Efficient, Reliable Dry Mortar Solution for new Coleraine Housing Development

FP McCann’s dry mortar is being used by JP Timberframes Ltd for a new housing development in Coleraine.

The mortar is delivered to site in our silos, which have a built-in automatic mixing system. Once water and power are connected to the silo, the dry mortar can be mixed with water at the push of a button. The resulting product is a computer-controlled consistent, high-quality mix.

The 84-home Coleman’s Green development is being built by Hagan Homes, with construction work being carried out by JP Timberframes Ltd.

Compared with traditional on-site mixing, FP McCann’s dry silo mortar means less time spent mixing, fewer deliveries to site and less wastage. There is also a reduced environmental impact due to less noise pollution versus traditional mixers, zero packaging on site and no leakage risk, eliminating the risk of storing chemical admixtures.

FP McCann’s mortar conforms to BS EN 998-2 standard mortar strength. We also have our own fleet of tanker vehicles, which can come to site to refill existing silos when required.

The first homes in this development are due to be completed in summer 2026.
