Focus On: FP McCann’s Mallusk Depot

FP McCann’s Mallusk Depot is situated within Boyd’s Quarry, on the outskirts of Belfast. The depot services all of County Antrim, as well as North Down.

The depot is home to a black top batching plant, as well as a Ready Mix Concrete plant with pan mixer to ensure quick mixing and to facilitate ex works orders. FP McCann’s Easi-Repair™ Cold Lay Tarmac is produced on site and the depot also stocks a number of precast concrete drainage products, which are available for collection.

Boyd’s Quarry has been in constant operation since 1895. Originally founded by James Boyd, the business is now successfully run by his grandchildren. FP McCann moved onto the premises and built the two batching facilities in 2004.

Our Mallusk Depot has produced concrete for many major construction projects in Belfast, including the new North Foreshore Film Studios, located within Belfast Harbour. Surfacing materials from the depot have been used on major road schemes, such as the A26 Frosses Road scheme.
