North East Storage Project

Client: Bord Gais Energy

The project involved enabling works to facilitate an underground borehole approx 1.5km deep for exploration of gas storage options. Works were carried out sensitively adjacent to Salmonoid Stream and nearby Badger Setts.

Works included:

Site clearance and excavation
Access road
Drill pad
Services including water main, electric, foul & storm

Settlement pond for the discharge of drill mud from a borehole
Site facilities
Reinstatement – the site was returned to original condition upon completion of the exploratory borehole.
