Newtownards proposals seek to develop the main public space (Conway Square) as a key focal point within the town that complements listed & historical features. The materials and design style used within the Square will translate through to the surrounding streets within the scheme extents.
Vinci Environment UK won the contract to build the new energy-from-waste facility in Allerton Park near Knaresborough and construction is well underway. The former quarry site is bringing together brand new technologies to generate some 25 MW of electricity per annum that will be exported to the main grid system. Construction commenced in February 2015 and the plant is scheduled to be fully operational in 2018.
On the 18th March, FP McCann’s Ellistown depot opened its doors to 120 delegates for a safety and health awareness event promoted by the British Precast Concrete Federation (BPCF). The day saw practical demonstrations at five nominated learning stations, with FP McCann employees playing a key role in ensuring the SHAD proceedings ran smoothly.
There have been significant changes to the North Foreshore Regeneration Project since our last report; over 2,400m of kerbs have been installed, 33 wooden street lighting columns have been erected and approximately 14,500 m² of tar has been laid using our brand new tar spreader.
