FP McCann has been involved in some of the highest profile civil engineering schemes in Northern Ireland in recent years, including the A26 Frosses Dual-Carriageway, A31 Magherafelt Bypass, Public Realm projects in Bangor & Holywood, Newtownards, Comber & Donaghadee and the Coleraine to Derry/Londonderry Railway Track Renewal project. Following a number of successful tender submissions and a further increase in company growth we are recruiting:
1 Nr Civil Engineering Bid Quantity Surveyor, based with our Tendering team at our Knockloughrim Head Office, near Magherafelt
1 Nr site based Quantity Surveyor for Civil Engineering contracts in N Ireland.
Our current and recent workload includes the A31 Magherafelt Bypass, the A26 Frosses Dualling project near Ballymena, the N14 Lifford Carriageway Strengthening Contract, Magherafelt Public Realm, Richhill & Keady Public Realms, the Knockmore to Lurgan Railway Rehabilitation Enablement contract for NI Railways & various roads & structures maintenance contracts with Transport NI & Translink.
Positions may be based on those or on similar projects currently due to commence.
The position of “Production Operative” within the Stair manufacturing Department involves the manufacture of concrete staircases designed and manufactured to specific and bespoke construction schedules. These staircases are manufactured to specific tolerances and to an aesthetically pleasing and agreed appearance.
The successful candidate will join the accountants and the ledger teams that make up the Finance team. As a placement student within the firm you will get an opportunity to experience first hand how our company works and what is the driving force behind it.

The post holder will have responsibility for effectively developing and maintaining all IT Systems in-house and providing user support.
Currently the business operates across 12 sites, 4 in Northern Ireland and 8 in GB. Server Systems include Windows Server 2008/2012 with Hyper-V Visualization. Server roles include Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, File and Storage Services, Print and Document Services, and Remote Desktop Services. Specialist servers including Exchange 2010 and SQL Server 2012 are also critical for the company. Bespoke manufacturing and distribution systems, MDM Software and Sophos Protection systems are also used. Cisco Routers and Switches are used on the core networks. Client PCs currently run Windows 7 and 8 operating systems. Each site has a Voice over IP Telephone System and a range of smartphones/tablets are in use for users in the field.
